Antibacterial effect on the growth medium

This experiment shows how the different additives in the foam and the difference in base material affect bacterial growth in the inoculation suspension within 24 h at 25 °C. The resulting concentrations of E. coli in Luria-Bertani medium (LB broth) surrounding the test cubes are depicted in Fig. 1. As the foam cube is immersed in the medium, it is freely permeable to the bacteria and the carrying medium.
