Cummins To Pay Record $1.67B to Settle Claims of Bypassing Emissions Tests

Engine manufacturer Cummins, Inc., has agreed to pay $1.67 billion to the Justice Dept. to settle an investigation over potential violations of the Clean Air Act regarding devices that allow users to defeat emissions controls systems in Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 engines.
