A large cargo ship containing stacks of lithium-ion batteries has caught fire, which is being currently kept 2 miles (3.22 kilometers) away from the Alaska coast in the US. To contain the fire that originated on December 28 and continued for the last five days, authorities have also established a one-mile safety zone around the vessel for the duration of the response effort.
